How to hide an element
- Open a regular
http://orhttps://page. - Click the InFocus icon in the Chrome toolbar.
- Click Select an element on the page and grant access to the current website.
- Move the pointer over the distracting block and click it.
- Review the selector and choose whether the rule applies to this page or the entire website.
- Click Hide.
Common questions
How do I restore an element?
Open InFocus on the same page and disable or delete the rule. The element should return immediately without a page reload.
Why does a rule stop working?
Websites occasionally change their HTML structure. Delete the old rule and select the element again. You can also edit the CSS selector before saving it.
Why is selection unavailable?
Chrome does not allow extensions to run on internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, some built-in PDF pages, and other protected browser surfaces.
Where are my rules stored?
Rules are stored only on this device in Chrome's local extension storage. They are not synchronized between devices.
Removing data
Delete individual rules from the extension popup. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes its local storage. When the last rule for a website is deleted, InFocus also removes its optional access to that website.
